Harriet is our most recently restored Citroen 12/24 Deluxe Saloon and was built at Citroen's factory in Slough, England in 1928.

A brief history

Harriet was originally a London car being moved in the 1980's to Suffolk for restoration, then down to Gloucestershire some years later – the restoration having been abandoned by this time.

When we purchased the vehicle for spares in January 2008 we decided it was too good to break up so we pushed on with the restoration originally started some 25 years earlier.

Our Citroens are the British equivalent to the French B14 Saloon. However unlike the French motor cars, the British built vehicles were fitted with a luxurious interior (to include a veneered dash board and door cappings), additional instrumentation and an option on ‘servo' (power) assisted brakes! Not bad for an 82 year old motor car.

One of only 6 remaining examples worldwide!

Harriet is recorded on the Vintage Citroen Register alongside Dorothy, our Burgundy version of the same vehicle, and appear as 2 of only 6 survivors worldwide.

Despite the rarity we have managed to acquire a 3rd example which is under restoration at the moment - keep checking our news pages for updates!

Of the remaining 3, 2 are in the UK and following a recent email from Australia, we have learnt that there is one there as well, but none of these are currently on the road.

Enhancements for a reliable and comfortable journey

Safety, reliability and comfort are our top priorities so Harriet, like Dorothy our burgundy Vintage Citroen, has had some very sensible and concealed modifications made to enable her to meet our strict standards.

We have restored the exterior and refitted the interior with immaculate ivory leather and luxurious seats. We also had the opportunity to shift the front seats forward to create even more room for the wedding dress and to make getting in and out as easy as possible.

Harriet is fully weather-proofed, with a heater to enable year-round operation.
